In-Country Market Research Analyst

Euromonitor International seeks In-Country Market Research Analysts(contratistas), who work on a per project basis from a home-office, conducting full-time research studies on consumer goods markets in Bolivia continuously throughout the year. Core responsibilities include primary and secondary research; data manipulation, validation and analysis; and report writing and editing in English. Industries researched could include Packaged Foods, Alcoholic Drinks, OTC Pharmaceuticals, Home Domestic Products, Tobacco and others.

Our projects

Our research would address the following questions in order to deliver insightful business intelligence to clients:

• How much fruit juice was consumed in
Bolivia in 2008? How does this compare to
the previous year?

• Who are the leading companies in shampoo?
What % share is held by the leading brands?

• Is there a market for my product? What
channels should we sell through? Who are
our competitors and how should we position
our offering to best effect?

A successful candidate will be located in Bolivia and must be analytical and detail-oriented. A strong background in economics, marketing, and/or market research is desirable.

Skill requirements:
• High level of numeracy
• Familiarity with consumer goods markets in
Bolivia
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and
Windows and Internet searches
• Research track record
• Project management and editorial skills an
advantage
